Hardware log

This is an almost exhaustive log of various hardware I owned/worked with over time. It’s here for my fun more than yours

Computers

• 1991 Electronica CIP-03
• 1994 Commodore PC AT-30.
• 1996 Main desktop: white box, second hand 486.
• 1998 Main desktop: upgraded the motherboard to a socket 7 one with a Cyrix CPU.
• 1999 bought an IBM Thinkpad 750p.
• 2000 New desktop: upgraded to a new whitebox  (actually my first new computer!)
• 2003 upgraded the desktop to a duron 1800mhz
• 2005 Blaupunkt MPD Player first incarnation.
• 2006 A real desktop: upgraded to an AMD 4850e x2 based build
• 2006 New laptop: we bought a Toshiba Satellite M100
• 2007 bought a second hand shuttle SK43G to use as a htpc but because of issues it only got to be a NAS.
• 2007 the first HTPC: a good friend gave us a compaq pentium 4 tower that did work as a htpc for a while.
• 2008 was forced to upgraded the compaq htpc tower to a dual core celeron.
• 2008 MPD Player: bought a 10$ pc: a compaq deskpro en small desktop (pentium III) to use inside my Blaupunkt MPD player
• September 2009 upgraded my desktop to an intel e6500 based build.
• September 2009 A real HTPC: the AMD 4850 got to be the htpc inside a nice Antec HTPC case.
• September2009 upgraded the Toshiba M100 to 2 Gb RAM
  
• 2009 received a dell optiplex pentium II tower
• 2009 from the same friends I got a hc-85
• 2010 got a semi functional no name k6-2 laptop. It has no use currently.
• 2010 the worst new laptop I saw entered our house: a sony vaio 13.3”
• January 2011 NAS: upgraded the NAS to 3x2TB drives
  
• 2011 MPD Player saw a nice update: an Intel BLKD410PT atom board. The Compaq Deskpro was donated.
• 2011 bought a second hand dell powerserve 1750 to run in a local datacenter
• 2011 Replaced the hdd in the Sony Vaio with a Seagate Momentus XT 500Gb and installed windows using a blank OEM disk.
• 2011 Upgraded the Toshiba Satellite M100 to a T2500 Intel CPU
• 2011 MPD Player: got a couple of wooden Microlab speakers for it
• November 2011 Upgraded the Dell Optiplex Tower
• November 2011 my wife received a Samsung Galaxy Tab for her birthday
• 2012-01-27 Finally upgraded my desktop to a serious workstation: an Intel I7 build.
• 2012-02-12 The long awaited HP Microserver arrived just in time to replace the SK43G

Networking:

• 2005 USB Zte ADSL modem
• 2005 8 port 10/100 Zyxel switch
• 2005 Pronet ADSL2 Router (worked pretty bad)
• 2006 ZyXEL’s P-660R adsl modem
• 2008 WRT54GL router (running dd-wrt)
• 8 December 2011 Linksys E3200 dual band gigabit router, stock firmware
