1999 saw me buying my first laptop. An IBM Thinkpad 750p 486, 33Mhz with 4Mb RAM Even though the case has a pen slot and it’s tablet convertible it’s not touchscreen. I bought it second hand from a dubious shop.
Probably the lcd was replaced at some point. I still own it today (2011) and it’s still working. It’s sometimes doing duty as a serial terminal.
